Boise is an excellent community to live in. Boise is the head of the Boise Metropolitan District, as it is both the capital and the largest city in the state. This deluxe area also includes restaurants, an advanced movie theater, and an entertainment center called Big Al’s -- a bowling alley and arcade. You can also find the Pacific Northwest’s largest waterpark in Meridian, the Roaring Springs Waterpark. This park, which spans over 650,000 square feet, includes over fifteen water attractions.
The city of Eagle is found to the northeast of Boise, just ten miles away. Though not a large city, Eagle has developed into a very popular area. This manicured town is mostly suburban, composed of larger homes and lot sizes. Because Eagle backs up onto the edge of the Treasure Valley, there are more expansive tracts of land available for purchase here than in other parts of the valley. Eagle is also where Eagle Island State Park is located, arguably the most well-known state park in the Treasure Valley. This park spans 545 acres, and includes a massive lawn, equestrian trails, a swimming area, and a water slide.
Nampa, on the other hand, is the second largest city in the Idaho. Historically, Nampa is a primarily agricultural city. In fact, Nampa is still the global leading producer of sweet corn seed. However, this rapidly building city has prime real estate in both urban and rural homes, and has attracted many excellent businesses into the area. The Gateway Shopping Center and the Karcher Mall, for example, have some of the best commercial shopping in the city. Nampa is also the city closest to Lake Lowell.
