The capital city of Boise lies in southwest Idaho about 41 miles east of the Oregon border and about 110 miles north of the Nevada border. Mountains rise to the northeast, stretching from the southeastern tip of Boise to the city of Eagle. These mountains are known as the Boise Foothills, which is a hotspot for residents from all nearby areas for outstanding year-round recreation.
