Idaho is one of the lucky places that experiences distinct four season weather with fairly temperate days and nights throughout the year. However, average winter temperatures do dip into the 30's and occasionally into the 20's overnight, so it's important to protect your Idaho home from the elements.

Keep your home in tip-top shape throughout the winter by beginning the job in autumn. One of the first things you should do is have your furnace inspected. It's important to ensure that your furnace is operational, energy efficient and of-course, safe. Have a HVAC professional come out and have a look. The repairman will clean the furnace, change the filter, check for leaks and unhealthy gases and ensure everything is operating as it should.

Rock climbing

My life isn't ordinary because I don't live in an ordinary place. I toss my gear into the hatchback and jump into the seat, ready to take on the challenges of the cliff face just above Boise, Idaho. I've been hooked to the natural terrain the Boise Valley offers ever since my first climb here, over two years ago. As I drive along the winding, scenic pathway up to the Lucky Peak Reservoir towards my favorite spot, the Black Cliffs, my heart races with anticipation.

I remind myself again to thank the Boise Idaho native, who convinced me that the best place to get my excess energy out was right there at home with him, the region's headquarters for all things recreational. It is available for all in some way or another.  It's thick in the air. It…

Idaho is a fairly big place. It comes close to cutting the country in half on the United State’s western side. It is by no means the largest state in the country, though because Idaho is so tall, it inhabits a large variety of different kinds of terrain and land. Alternatively, if you ask pretty much anyone about Idaho, they will say that there is not much there. Despite its size, Idaho is one of the least populous states in the states. There are parts of the state where you can go for miles and miles without coming across anyone. However, while it is still pretty unpopulated in comparison to parts of the rest of the country, Idaho is not a barren wasteland. There some major urban centers with large populations, one of those being Boise, the capital…

Boise is located in the southwestern part of Idaho about 55 miles from the border of Oregon along the I-84 corridor. The capital city of Idaho, is the City of Boise, and is also the largest city in Idaho with a population of more than 223,000. The City of Boise has several suburb cities that have grown to the point that there is not much distinction between where one starts and the other begins but is more or less a continuous trail of neighborhoods and business centers from one end of the Treasure Valley to the other.

Meridian is Boise’s closest neighbor, and at a population of 87,743, it is the state’s second largest city, edging out Nampa which had held that title previously. It is also the Idaho’s fastest growing urban city with a…

While this is completely legal and not impossible by any means, it does present quite a few problems that a lot of people do not foresee. Many people in today’s society love a good challenge. Maybe that’s why the trend of buying homes to fix up and sell has become ever more popular as time progresses. Renovating a home can be entertaining, fun, and fulfilling if done properly. Like many other types of risks, however, flipping a home can be frustrating if the market crashes or if expensive, unexpected projects crop up. Purchasing the property and home to fix is the real key to turning a profit. Because so many homes are old, dilapidated, and in disrepair, it can be hard to know what may be too much to handle. When viewing a property, ask questions. This is incredibly…
