There are certainly a lot of sights to check out when you are in Idaho’s state capital of Boise. From unforgettable exhibits in Zoo Boise and the Aquarium of Boise to one of the biggest farmer’s markets you can imagine, the attractions of the city are truly endless. This is in no small part because of Boise’s large size as well as how long the city has been around. There are many interesting things to check out while in the Boise area that will help give you a taste of what Boise was like in the earlier days of the Gem State’s existence. Taking a trip through Old Boise has a really nice and comforting nostalgic feel that is sure to please any history buff.

Idaho is so cold! Or, at least that’s the reputation it holds with many who maybe aren’t as familiar with the state. This isn’t much of a surprise, as the state happens to have low temperatures and is covered with large amounts of snow for a reasonable part of the year. This isn’t to say that Idahoans just stay inside and keep to themselves all winter though, quite the contrary in fact. Some of the most fun activities in the Gem State are only available during this time of the year, and many living in Idaho cannot wait for that snow to start falling!

There are a lot of ways to get around when you need to be somewhere. Sometimes in a city (Say for an example, the city of Boise) the best and most economical way of getting around is by riding a bike. For most of the state of Idaho, a bicycle is not going to get you far. There is a lot of space between things that you might want to get to and it is far enough that you are only going to try and make that on a bike if you are a cross-country cyclist betting ready for a major tournament. That is probably not most people, though I suppose there is always a chance. This is not the case for a city like Boise. The area is more spread out than other cities, but things are still pretty close together and you can consider getting from place to place on a bike
