Geography and population

Kuna is a rapidly growing city located 17 miles southwest of Boise. It has a population of 15,210, which makes for a smaller community covering about 18 square miles. This may seem like a slightly smaller sized city, but in fact this population has tripled in number since 2000.

There are so many things to do in Kuna! Kuna currently has 53 acres of parks where residents can picnic, relax, and have all sorts of fun. These parks include Arbor Ridge Park, which has picnic tables, lots of green space, paved parking, and playground equipment. This particular park is usually busy year round, as it is the site of many community sports games. Similarly, Bernie Fisher Park is used to host the Kuna Farmer's Market every Saturday morning from  8am to 1pm in the warmer months. Fisher has a lot of amenities like covered shelters, playground equipment, charcoal BBQ, and even power outlets. 

Other parks in Kuna, include Butler Park, Chaparossa Park, Crimson Point Part, Farm Estates, Nicholson Park, Sadie Creek Park, and Winchester Park. If you want to go fishing, Nicholson Park has a pond with stocked year-round with fish. Each park has plenty of things to do outdoors. Houses are built for sale around these parks to help new homeowners feel integrated into their community.

Residents of Kuna can explore the wilderness surrounding the local mountains. The topography of the region makes it ideal for day trips as well as long camping vacations. These places are excellent place to hike, fish, or race in with all-terrain vehicles.  South of most Kuna Idaho real estate is the Kuna Caves - an underground lava flow cave that was once a popular tourist location. Activities

The Snake River Birds of Prey Festival is an occurrence that Kuna participates in every year in May. During this festival, residents learn about North America’s raptors and the local history of the Morley Nelson Snake River Birds of Prey National Conservation Area.

The Kuna Farmers’ Market is another annual event, which is set up during the warmer months of Idaho. Here, local artisans sell arts and crafts, farm-fresh food, specialty food, and other locally made goods. Many residents in Kuna participate in the weekly farmers market in order to share their wares with the community, as well as offer stronger connections within the people who attend.
